Singapore Armed Forces Bands

DRUM MAJOR MACE DESIGN

2005

The SAF Bands Mace is designed for the Singapore Armed Forces Bands (SAF Bands).

It is commissioned in 2005 as the ceremonial symbol of the SAF Bands, as well as the symbol of the authority of the SAF Bands. Since then, it is always present at all formal State or SAF functions, parades and ceremonies such as National Day and SAF Day, where head of states or foreign dignitaries are present, as a symbolic representation of the Singapore Armed Forced Band.

Clean & Green Week (1st Prize)

2006

'Listen' is an animation created for this Clean & Green Week 2006. With the year's slogan of "Stay Cool, Go Green" in mind, our team produced an animation that targets the youth, with emphasis to bring out the 'coolness' of being environmentally friendly. A hip-hop influenced character was created as our mascot which the youth can easily relate to, to better promote the Clean & Green Week in an interesting and 'cool' manner.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

2008

This 3D animation was started back in 2007, a year before the  inaugural 2008 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix was held. It was the first race to be held at night in F1's history, and the first F1 street race in Asia. It also depicts the then up and coming developments around the Marina Bay area, such as the Singapore Flyer, Marina Bay Financial Centre, Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay amongst many others.

As these major developments were still underway back then in 2007, much effort has been put in to research on these developments, to accurately depict an exciting and breath-taking view of the Marina Bay area, and the future that is to come.

The project took months to conduct the numerous site surveys and extensive research was done on the 150+ buildings in the Marina Bay area visible in the shots; to ensure the greatest accuracy of the maps, roads, infrastructure, buildings and terrains. A team of 15 animators and modellers then brought this animation to life.
